Thermal insulation or heat insulation is a property of materials and constructions to reduce the transfer of thermal energy (heat) between two sides of the material or the construction to a minimum. The main reason to insulate well is energy conservation and personal protection.

Rockwool and Isover mineral wool products are ideal for thermally insulating technical installations with high temperatures, whereby energy is conserved and CO² is reduced.

HCAV installations in buildings can also be insulated with Armaflex flexible elastomer, flexible polyethylene, PIR-Plus or Insul-Phen besides mineral wool.

Pir-Plus or the high quality Insul-Phen generate a high energy conservation due to the extremely low Lambda value.

Is used in industrial refrigeration technology, chemical, petrochemical and process industries. Furthermore, in shipping, offshore, gas extraction and OEM.


